Rufus was named after
royalty, William II King of England, who also had red hair and was
nicknamed Rufus.

My
search for an English Mastiff began with a visit to
Lazy D Mastiffs, owned by Jimmy and Nancy Walker.
Lazy D
Mastiffs were magnificent, and it was there that I
became
fascinated
with
this breed.
During
my visit, I met Rufus' infamous grandmother Ch
Ironclads Ironhill Ivana (Ivana), Rufus'
grandfather, Ch Lazy D Fortunate Son Of Marv (Pork
Chop), and Rufus' mother, Ch Lazy D Ironclad
Chantilly Lace (Lace).
Rufus was only
two days old at the time I saw the litter; however, I was not assured
of obtaining a puppy for six more weeks.
After
the litter turned eight weeks of age, I drove back to Lazy D Mastiffs,
and Rufus became a member of the Seawright family.
Everybody tells Rufus that
he's something special, and that he's different, and we feel
that he is.
Rufus is
pictured at the top of this page with owner, Gaye Crowther at Seawright Farms.
